little Hope.

Little lights shining all over the city. Mums cooking their best meals. FOOD, CARDS, PRESENTS. Children waiting for the fat man with the red suit to arrive. Families&friends gathering to sit in front of a dead tree in the living room and eat sweets out of their socks.

Christmas.

That time of the year when we put aside all our everyday worries for a little while and replace them with a whole of other stuff that we believe it will bring us some kind of peace. HEY. It's a special time for celebration! But what do we celebrate exactly? Why Christmas? Why not something else?

Let me tell you something: Christmas is much more than a western tradition. It goes beyond all superficial thoughts and desires. Indeed, it is a time for celebration. We celebrate the birth of the One that came down to Earth to bring real HOPE; the One that showed us what LOVE's really about; the One that gave absolutely EVERYTHING for the needy; the One that set people FREE from all kind of slavery.

Our western culture may tell us that wealth and prosperity will lead us into satisfaction. Happiness. But the truth is that when it comes to real matters such as life or death, we are all as naked and poor as the rest of the World. Lucky us, there is hope. Just make sure to seek the truth and the Truth will set you free.

Happy birthday Jesus!
